About Us
About Us
The American Somalia Foundation (ASF) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing social equity and enhancing the quality of life for underserved communities—both in the United States and abroad. Since our inception in 2012, we have worked tirelessly to promote access to education, health care, and essential social services, without regard to race, religion, gender, or political affiliation.
At ASF, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our programs are designed to empower women, children, youth, and families by creating pathways out of poverty and providing resources that nurture sustainable community development. We build partnerships with local stakeholders, civil society groups, and global supporters to maximize impact and deliver meaningful, long-term change.
Mission
Our mission is to disrupt cycles of poverty and catalyze social and economic transformation through education, health services, and community empowerment. ASF champions equality, dignity, and opportunity by delivering programs that support vulnerable populations—especially women, children, and youth—and by strengthening community resilience.
We are committed to:
- Expanding access to quality education for children in under-resourced areas.
- Improving health outcomes through essential services and partnerships.
- Alleviating hunger and basic needs insecurity across communities.
- Mobilizing volunteers, resources, and advocacy to create long-lasting social impact.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every individual—regardless of background—has access to the tools, opportunities, and support needed to realize their full potential. A world where:
- Every child receives a quality education and the promise of a brighter future.
- Families have access to essential health care and safe living conditions.
- Equitable opportunities for growth and development are accessible to all.
By fostering collaboration and nurturing community leadership, ASF seeks to build more resilient, prosperous, and just societies for future generations.
